Congregation Ahavath Sholom holds a variety of ongoing and periodic fundraisers throughout the year.

Current ongoing fundraising projects:

Sukkot pavilion• Sukkah Pavilion Donor Garden — You can sponsor a brick or tile in the floor of our beautiful outdoor Sukkah Pavilion near the entrance to the CAS Religious School. List your own name, or name a brick or tile in memory of or in honor of someone special. Bricks (4“x8”) are $100. Tiles range from 6“x6” tiles for $250 to 12“x12” tiles for $1000. To learn more, please talk to Marvin Beleck, Sukkah Pavilion Committee Chair, or to Garry Kahalnik, Executive Director.

• Till 120 & Beyond Campaign — Congregation Ahavath Sholom will be 120 years old in 2012. In recognition of this milestone, many community members have chosen to make an ongoing monthly contribution over and above their annual dues until Rosh Hashanah in 2012. Your ongoing donation is billed directly to your credit or debit card. To learn more, please talk to Garry Kahalnik, Executive Director.

• Kiddush Sponsorships — Our weekly kiddush lunch catered by our kosher kitchen is a priority of the congregation. In order for it to continue, sponsors contribute $100 or more toward the cost of the lunch. For $500 or more, you can sponsor the entire lunch for the week. To learn more, please talk to Elsie Blum, head of the Catering Committee.

• Flower Fund — Donors contribute $50 or more to the Flower Fund to sponsor the flowers for the weekly Shabbat service. To learn more, please talk to JoAnn English in the Shul Office.

Periodic fundraisers include community dinners, visiting speakers, and Bingo nights.

Onsite events catered by our kosher kitchen (wedding receptions, Bar or Bat Mitzvah dinners, school graduations, and business lunches) are also important fundraisers for us.
